By choosing double or triple glazing, a homeowner reduces draughts, increases energy efficiency, reduces their carbon footprint, and lowers heating bills. The effectiveness of a PVCu window will depend on its energy rating – A to E, E being the most inefficient. All new windows are required to be at least a C rating by Building Regulations. Choosing an A-rated window will help any property perform better, with triple-glazing options providing even higher insulation levels.
PVCu windows are made from insulated 5 chambered profile and feature high-performance gaskets to achieve ‘A’ Energy Rating, with a standard argon-filled, warm edge Low E glass unit. Triple glazing upgrades are available to achieve U-values as low as 0.9 W/m2k and A energy ratings.
All our windows are made from highly insulated PVCu profile, leading to exceptional energy efficiency across our entire range. However, triple glazing options are available for those looking for even higher levels of insulation.
New and replacement windows must be certified by installers. This can be achieved through FENSA, CERTASS or another certification body or can be approved by building control.
